n roll that is slightly under the radar has always been our specialty
here at ROCKWIRED.COM and the year 2011 was certainly no exeption
despite the expanded programming but THE ONE THROUGH TENS were
somethnig raw and something specail. The ONE
THROUGH TENS are quickly gaining a reputation in Nashville for their
explosive live performances. Show after unrelenting show they leave
every piece of themselves onstage. Their new full length release,
“FIGHTING FORA GOLDEN AGE,” captures that same intensity in a studio
recording, and is already garnering optimistic critical acclaim, on the
local and international level. Singer WILL FLOYD's voice has been
compared to vocalists such as ROBERT PLANT and SHANNON HOON, while
guitarist ADAM LOUIS consistently defies audiences and critics alike
with his blistering capabilities on the fretboard, melding jazz, blues,
rock, punk, and metal into his own extremely unique style. When playing
together their melodies twist and soar high above the current state of
modern rock, complemented well by the thunderous rhythms of bassist BEN
LOWRY and drummer ABBY HAIRSTON. While the ONE THROUGH TENS’ musical
influences range far and wide, their sound draws comparison to bands
like ALICE IN CHAINS, WOLFMOTHER, and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, even
being labelled as an "angrier MUMFORD AND SONS." But what has really
set the band apart is the intensity of raw emotion and individual

program producer for ROCKWiRED.COM, LUSH is hands-on when it
comes to
interviewing and building a lasting rapport with the artists that come
ROCKWiRED's
way. As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being
planted
by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST
(remember
that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the
internet and being a rock journalist
looked
like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these
magazines had me
imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever
answers to
some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising
you.
