Whether it was a bit of robo-emailing or a mistake made by a twenty something who didn't know any better, the story of ANNIE LENNOX being scouted by a radio station gave us quite the laugh. LENNOX had gone out of her way to dismiss the correspondence as a scam, but not before having a little fun with it. Yes, scams that take advantage of up and coming music artists are everywhere but why this was sent to a four time GRAMMY, GOLDEN GLOBE and OSCAR winner has us scratching our heads.
We're quite confident in assuming that "KYLIE" - the contact in that laughable email - is a six-foot-two fellow behind a computer in his parents basement, but it sounds like the sort of oversight that would get made by a millennial named "KYLIE" I even have a friend in that age bracket who thought that the person who sang SWEET DREAMS (ARE MADE OF THIS) was a guy. Millennials and their lack of pop culture has reached a critical point. I don't expect these brats to ever bring us back to the moon, but I'd like to teach them a thing or two about one of pop's most enigmatic performers. Are you listening, KYLIE?
