RPM.FM - REVOLUTiONS PER MiNUTE A NEW WEBSiTE CELEBRATiNG iNDiGENOUS MUSiC CULTURE AND AN EXCLUSiVE iNTERViEW WiTH OSTWELVE  OCTOBER 6,
2011 - The
beautiful thing about the internet is that it helps you tofind out that
you aren't alone in what you do. While ROCKWIRED.COM does what it can
to help promote Contemporary Indian recording artists from
throughout the United States and Canada, along comes an exciting new
project spearheaded by young native journalists and artists to
help stream the sounds of Indigenous America to the entire world.
RPM.FM is a new music platform to discover the most talented Indigenous
musicians from across Turtle Island and beyond. RPM brings together
musicians, fans, and listeners by providing a centralized place for
emerging and established Indigenous, First Nations, Aboriginal, Inuit,
and Métis musicians to share and promote their work. We curate,
interview, and profile Indigenous artists from around the world to help
bring them an international audience, and to give music lovers the
opportunity to discover the very best of Indigenous Music Culture.  Speaking on behalf of
RPM.FM on this edition of ABORIGINAL SOUNDS is a fellow by the
name of RON HARRIS also known as OSTWELVE. Os has traveled the
world – from the Nokia Jam in Johannesburg to the North American
Indigenous Games in Duncan BC – delegating and performing. He has
shared the stage with Coolio, Snoop Dogg, Guru, K’naan, Living Legends,
Litefoot, Rez Official, Digging Roots and Kinnie Starr just to name a
few. He is the host of RPM's official podcast. On the RPM
Podcast, Indigenous music and culture meet in sound. Each episode we
give voice to the music, stories, and experiences of Indigenous artists
from around the world by exploring a place, idea, or tradition that
inspires our songs and our people.

LUSH holds a BA in Creative Writing from the UNIVERSITY OF
NEW MEXICO. He established ROCKWIRED on New Years of 2004 and hasn't
looked back
since. He is currently the host of all of ROCKWIRED.COM's programming
which includes such shows as ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES and ROCKWIRED
FREE FORM RADIO. As
program producer for ROCKWiRED.COM, LUSH is hands-on when it
comes to
interviewing and building a lasting rapport with the artists that come
ROCKWiRED's
way. As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being
planted
by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST
(remember
that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the
internet and being a rock journalist
looked
like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these
magazines had me
imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever
answers to
some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising
you.
Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the
