NOVEMBER 19, 2011 - The
minute people see the words “Frank” and “New York,” they think
Sinatra—but Ol’ Blue Eyes could have only dreamed of rockin’ like this
Brooklyn based powerhouse quartet. SCOTT PORTER, co-founder, lead
vocalist and guitarist for FRANK, explains that the band’s moniker came
from the word’s literal definition of “honest” and “blunt,” a
reflection of the honesty and integrity the group has brought to its
songwriting, recording and performances over the last ten years and
several key personnel changes. Proud of their old school belief in
creating full length thematic albums rather than random collections of
tunes, Frank’s current lineup—which includes BILLY ZIFF (bass), SETH
GLICKMAN (keyboards) and CHRISTIAN LINSEY (drums)—rolls through a
compelling set of 12 songs that show a band as excited to be HERE
TOGETHER as PORTER and ZIFF were when they launched ten years ago.
“We’re all on the same page and continue to share a common vision,
which is extremely rewarding and, in my experience, quite uncommon."
says SCOTT PORTER regarding the band and the latest release. "While
some of the songs on Here Together were written before the four of us
were all in the band, it is undeniably our record. The next
project, which we have already come a long way towards having written,
will be even more a product of this group, with all of us having had a
direct hand in every aspect of the material - it’s going to be a very
cool record as well. Everyone in the band is a true musician and
composer, we constantly collaborate and challenge each other, and we
all recognize that our different interests/influences combine into a
general musical and thematic whole that is way more than the sum of its

LUSH holds a BA in Creative Writing from the UNIVERSITY OF
NEW MEXICO. He established ROCKWIRED on New Years of 2004 and hasn't
looked back

that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the
internet and being a rock journalist
looked
like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these
magazines had me
imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever
answers to
some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising
you.
