PRESENTS:
SiNGER SONGWRiTER RYAN DAViD ORR AND HiS LATEST RELEASE MORDRED THE QUARTER KNOWN
JANUARY 17, 2012 - In the legendary stories of King Arthur, Mordred is the son of KING ARTHUR and his half sister, the dark love child born out of deceit who returns to betray and kill his father. To well traveled, Arizona based singer/songwriter RYAN DAVID ORR, MORDRED is the perfect metaphor for the dark part of ourselves that can come back to harm us if we ignore or set aside our deeper issues for another time. A passionate fan of literature and poetry, the multi-talented performer also believes we are only perhaps one quarter aware and in touch with the patterns and processes that make us who we are. Combine these notions around richly textured, provocative alternative rock songs and a voice that one critic called “a cross between EDDIE VEDDER and DAVE MATTHEWS” and you have ORR’s fourth full length album MORDRED THE QUARTER KNOWN. No matter what style he has performed, Orr has built a sizeable audience around the U.S. and has played at hundreds of different venues ranging from Bar None in New York City and a church in White Plains, NY to hundreds of spots throughout the Western States, from the Seattle area to Oregon and down the Coast of California and out to New Mexico. He’s been settled in Northern Arizona for the past six years and plays regularly there when he is not on the road. Everyone is clearly responding to what JOHN POPPER, Grammy winning frontman for BLUES TRAVELER calls ORR’s “tender, powerful songwriting…RYAN will take you right into the moment with him and connect his heart to yours.” ORR says, “I love the live setting best, where I can connect with people and experience those gratifying moments where a particular song has touched them the way it was meant to do.” RELATED LiNKS: WWW.RYANDAViDORR.COM ABOUT THE HOST: CONTACT
