ROCKWiRED RADiO PROFiLES PRESENTS:
THE FULL-THROTTLE SOUND OF
CHARM CiTY DEViLS
AND THEiR NEW RELEASE SiNS
http://www.rockwired.com/sinscd.jpgAPRIL 17, 2012 - When CHARM CITY DEVILS (singer JOHN ALLEN, guitarist VICKARRERA, bassist ANTHONY ARAMBULA, guitarist NICK KAY and drummer JASON HEISER) started to put the new album together, they discussed covering a classic song and incorporating it into their live show. As singer JOHN ALLEN, “There were many ideas kicked around, but which one? ‘MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW’ came up and we decided to give it a try. It’s an incredibly powerful song, but it was a challenge to develop and arrange it in a way that captured the essence of the song but would also ROCK! We all loved the version from ‘O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?’ SKIDD MILLS and I built a foundation and with much tweaking and editing, and I think we delivered a great version of the song. The song transcends generations. It’s a timeless classic and it’s been around a long time. I’m excited to bring it to a whole new group of rock fans.” MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW has been exploding on the Active Rock radio airwaves ever since it was released on January 23. The song has quickly become a Top 10 Most Played smash on such stations as SiriusXM’s “Octane” (where it’s #1 Most Played and is currently #14 on their “Big Uns” countdown), KHTQ (Spokane, #2 Most Played), KILO (Colorado Springs, #3 Most Played), 98 Rock (Baltimore, #6 Most Played), KQXR (Boise, #6 Most Played) and WZBH (Ocean City, #11 Most Played). “Man Of Constant Sorrow” is currently sitting at #32 on Billboard’s “Active Rock” chart.  An official video was recently shot in the band’s hometown (Baltimore) at singer JOHN ALLEN’s home studio and will be released in the coming weeks.

   ABOUT THE HOST:
http://www.rockwired.com/brian.JPGBRIAN LUSH holds a BA in Creative Writing from the UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO. He established ROCKWIRED on New Years of 2004 and hasn't looked back since. He is currently the host of all of ROCKWIRED.COM's programming which includes such shows as ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES and ROCKWIRED FREE FORM RADIO. As program producer for ROCKWiRED.COM, LUSH is hands-on when it comes to interviewing and building a lasting rapport with the artists that come ROCKWiRED's way. As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being planted by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST (remember that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the internet and being a rock journalist looked like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these magazines had me imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever answers to some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising you. Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the questions."
