ROCKWiRED RADiO PROFiLES PRESENTS:
THE iNSPiRATiONAL ROCK SOUND OF  SMALLTiME
AND THEiR  SELF-TiTLED DEBUT E.P.
http://www.rockwired.com/smalltimecd.jpgJUNE 6, 2012 - The four hard hitting rockers that joined forces to become of Orange County, California’s hottest rising indie band bring incredible individual musical histories to the mix. Gritty voiced frontman Danny Van (who also plays rhythm guitar) was lead singer in a longtime rock-blues-jazz duo called Sunday Shoes. Steve Clayton (bass, backing vocals) is a veteran of bands in nearly every possible genre. Kenny Goorabian (lead guitar, backing vocals) was a founding member of the early 80’s RCA-signed rock band Steel Breeze, which toured with Hall & Oates and opened for The Who at the Astrodome; he also wrote their hit song “You Don’t Want Me Anymore,” which charted Top 20 on Billboard. Dusty Slaybaugh (drums) played in a local Sacramento band called Spider Kelly, and over the years performed in many of the same clubs as Goorabian, even though they never met each other. The EP gets off to a rousing, electric guitar driven start with the whimsical inspiration of “You Never Know,” a tune about letting the Spirit guide you as you approach even the most unusual looking to share some Good News. The similarly explosive bluesy rocker “DEA ON ARRIVAL” tackles that spiritual transformation from death to life when God’s light is allowed to shine through and fill the darkness. “FISH OUT OF WATER” is a clever observational song about people finding themselves in potentially compromising situations and feeling like they don’t quite belong. At six minutes, the dramatic “Saving Souls” allows the band to stretch out and electrify without limits as they show their hearts for people whom God calls them to love unconditionally.

   ABOUT THE HOST:
http://www.rockwired.com/brian.JPGBRIAN LUSH holds a BA in Creative Writing from the UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO. He established ROCKWIRED on New Years of 2004 and hasn't looked back since. He is currently the host of all of ROCKWIRED.COM's programming which includes such shows as ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES and ROCKWIRED FREE FORM RADIO. As program producer for ROCKWiRED.COM, LUSH is hands-on when it comes to interviewing and building a lasting rapport with the artists that come ROCKWiRED's way. As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being planted by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST (remember that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the internet and being a rock journalist looked like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these magazines had me imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever answers to some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising you. Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the questions."
