THE EARNEST SOUND OF TONY DESiMONE AND HiS BRAND NEW E.P. 'AS WE GO 'ROUND THE SUN'  JUNE 11, 2012 - Traveling often to Hawaii to do
testing for his day job as a rocket scientist, singer/songwriter TONY
DESIMONE finds himself breezing through a lot of airports holding the
ukulele, which has become one of his favorite instruments. Recently, a
fellow passenger saw the uke, came up to him and asked, “Are you any
good?” DESIMONE, who also plays percussion and guitar on his uplifting
new five track EP AS WE GO 'ROUND THE SUN, replied “I play.” The guy
said, “Well, if they pay you to play, you must be good.” That’s quite
an understatement considering the success DeSimone has had since the
release last year of his full length debut The Second Time Around,
which received stellar reviews and has earned him a slew of exciting
new performing opportunities. The momentum continues as the title track
song from the new EP has already been licensed by TinderBox music to be
included on the cue sheet for the DISCOVERY CHANNEL. Over the past
year, the multi-talented performer brought his unique mix of Americana
rock and lilting and cool, beach-styled acoustic and electric tunes to
numerous festivals and conferences—including the Seaside Heights Music
Festival, the Singer Songwriter of Cape May Conference and the
Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg. “THE LINE ON MY HORIZON,” a
romantic harmonic rocker with a revival spirit from the new EP, was
included on the official compilation of these latter two events. His
calendar for Spring/Summer 2012 filled quickly, with weekend gigs at
the Sharrott Winery in Southern New Jersey, shows at The Alchemist and
the Barrister in Princeton (one of his regular haunts) and a monthly

like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these
magazines had me
imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever
answers to
some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising
you.
