ROCKWiRED RADiO PROFiLES PRESENTS:
THE DELECTABLE POP SENSiBiLiTY OF  THE DAYDREAMERS
AND THEiR NEW EP 'WiTH YOUR LOVE'
http://www.rockwired.com/withyourlovecd.jpgJUNE 20, 2012 - For multiple generations of music fans, the word “Woodstock” may still conjure up dreamy nostalgia for a dynamic musical era gone by, but at the heart of the mythology created over the past 43 years is a small town in New York where local bands cultivate the same dreams as everywhere else. For twin brothers AARON (lead guitar) and WYATT MONES (frontman, rhythm guitar) and bassist BEN CHROBOT—the core of emerging indie pop-rock band THE DAYDREAMERS--it’s a home base that is quickly becoming too small for their larger ambitions. Following up the 2008 EP SOMEDAY, EVERYDAY they released as THE DEFENDERS while still in high school, the band is putting Woodstock back on the map in an exciting new way with the release of WITH YOUR LOVE, their debut EP as THE DAYDREAMERS.Their seamless hypnotic vibe and cool harmonies on tracks like the beachy, grunge-pop influenced “ANTARCTICA” are testament to a chemistry that harkens back to elementary and middle school, where the MONES brothers, CHROBOT and keyboardist TIM POLL first met. Though they only started playing live as The Daydreamers a year ago, AARON and WYATT—who are now 20 -- have been playing music together since the 7th grade. They created a lot of buzz during their high school days as THE DEFENDERS, releasing the EP and making it to the final round of the 2009 Break Contest, a battle of the bands competition for a spot on the Bamboozle Festival’s main stage at the Meadowlands Complex in New Jersey. They’ve also played venues ranging from the famed Stone Pony in Asbury Park and The Chance in Poughkeepsie to The Knitting Factory and CBGBs in New York – and in 2009 were top ten finalists for the MTV Video Music Awards’ Best Breakout contest.

   ABOUT THE HOST:
http://www.rockwired.com/brian.JPGBRIAN LUSH holds a BA in Creative Writing from the UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO. He established ROCKWIRED on New Years of 2004 and hasn't looked back since. He is currently the host of all of ROCKWIRED.COM's programming which includes such shows as ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES and ROCKWIRED FREE FORM RADIO. As program producer for ROCKWiRED.COM, LUSH is hands-on when it comes to interviewing and building a lasting rapport with the artists that come ROCKWiRED's way. As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being planted by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST (remember that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the internet and being a rock journalist looked like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these magazines had me imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever answers to some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising you. Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the questions."
