JUNE 27, 2012 - THROW THE TEMPL hit Albuquerque's scene in January 2011 with WILL STANLEY, GABE GAMBINO, MATT GARCIA, JEREMY METCALF and JOEY DIAZ. Playing a few shows in the span of January to April, they started building a name until June 2011, where the band parted ways with Will, citing professional and personal reasons. Since then, a new era of THROW THE TEMPLE was born, with GABE GAMBINO taking vocals and rhythm guitar duties and MATT taking background vocals and focusing lead guitars. 2011 was a great year of building, but 2012 has been even faster and harder than 2011. In March, after a show with LA standouts ATTALOSS in El Paso, TX, TTT was invited to play the Heart of Texas Rockfest during South by Southwest week in Austin Texas. THROW THE TEMPLE was the only band from Albuquerque to play the festival. Since they've begun, they have played shows with notable locals EPIHPANY, SUPERGIANT, BRAVE NEW WORLD, and INDEMNIFIED. They've also played with such national acts as WARNER DRIVE, ATTALOSS, ACIDIC, LA VELVET, HESSLER, NEW LIBERTY, and even hip-hop legends MOBB DEEP and RAEKWON. While they're proud of what they've accomplished, the hard work will not be stopping as THROW THE TEMPLE continues to grow. THROW THE TEMPLE's debut demo was released on April 27, 2012. Along with that, THROW THE TEMPLE was voted into 104.1 The Edge's EdgeFest, a festival headlined by INCUBUS, CAGE THE ELEPHANT, AWOLNATION, ANBERLIN and more. 2012 has been good to THROW THE TEMPLE, but we are planning on keeping it up.
