JANUARY 27, 2012 - It was a KIM WILDE song that inspired ROCKWiRED's newest show TUNING IN TUNING ON. The KIM WILDE song is the last song on her debut 1981 album and is true BOWIE-inspired synth pop to the core with lyrics citing that sound is in fact a life force all its own. With all of ROCKWIRED's programing centered around profiling artists, we felt we needed a show that was simply music. A crack at free form music was done sporadically in the previous year but we feel that a little inspiration from KIM WILDE and the increasing number ofmusic submissions that there is no doubt that TUNING TUNING ONwill stick around and give us time to let our hair down a little and just enjoy the music. Our debut edition features music from ENGLORIA, THE PORTER DRAW, BRI BAGWELL, ALASTAIR GREEN, DRASTIC ANDREW, MORGAN BRACY, DONNA DESTRI, STATIC REPLY and FIVE MINUTE SIN.

As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being planted by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST (remember that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the internet and being a rock journalist looked like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these magazines had me imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever answers to some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising you. Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the questions."
