PRESENTS: THE
EARNEST SOUND
OF J.J. CROWNE AND
HiS NEW RELEASE SONGS OF
iNNOCENCE AND EXPERiENCE
DECEMBER 3, 2011 -In
a recent interview J.J. Crowne gave to SKOPE MAGAZINE about his
highly anticipated debut recording, SONGS OF INNOCENCE AND
EXPERIENCE,
the Miami-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist
unabashedly declares his desire to defy typical musical industry
pigeonholing and start a new genre: “Eclectic.” Considering his
diverse background and the fact that his major influences are THE
BEATLES, CROSBY, STILLS & NASH, HARRY CHAPIN and STEELY DAN,
it’s
not surprising that he weaves his heartfelt tales of love, loss, hope
and social consciousness into an infectious musical mix that runs the
exuberant gamut from adult contemporary and soft rock to alt-country
and light jazz.
Throughout
his career, he’s done a little of everything, from opening shows
for THE MAVERICKS and MARILYN MANSON (early in their careers) to
composing radio jingles, theatrical music, TV themes and cues for
Fox, PBS and Univision, and producing many up and coming artists. His
years as a musical ‘everyman’ were simply a prelude, however, for
his emergence now as a versatile artist crafting an inspiring
twelve-track journey on which he sings all vocals and performs all
instrumentation -- a true labor of love comprised of musical
snapshots he’s accumulated along the way and a batch of more recent
compositions. Typical of the literate and poetic nature of his
lyrics, CROWNE borrowed his album title from the classic collection
by WILLIAM BLAKE, one of the great British poets of the Romantic Age.

LUSH holds a BA in Creative Writing from the UNIVERSITY OF
NEW MEXICO. He established ROCKWIRED on New Years of 2004 and hasn't
looked back
since. He is currently the host of all of ROCKWIRED.COM's programming
which includes such shows as ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES and ROCKWIRED
FREE FORM RADIO. As
program producer for ROCKWiRED.COM, LUSH is hands-on when it
comes to
interviewing and building a lasting rapport with the artists that come
ROCKWiRED's
way. As a youngster, BRIAN LUSH had no idea what kind of seed was being
planted
by reading magazines such as HIT PARADE, HIGH TIMES, SPIN, REQUEST
(remember
that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the
internet and being a rock journalist
looked
like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these
magazines had me
imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever
answers to
some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising
you.
Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the
questions."
