MAY 2, 2011 - The polls have closed for ROCKWIRED.COM's recent ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign. Voters from all over the U.S. and Canada made their vote count and Chicago-based rockers MASS CHEMISTRY walked away the winner.  In this day and age, who doesn't want to see a hard-working rock n roll band succeed? Despite being together for a little more than a year, MASS CHEMISTRY has come a long way with the release of their flawlessly, self-produced, self-titled debut CD. Guitarist GINO BUONAMICI and vocalist WILL KELLEY are the band's founders and serve as the band's primary songwriters. With their winning PAGE/PLANT styled rock n roll strategy in place, BUONAMICI and KELLEY lay down their bombastic hard rock sound with a vengeance and the jewels ni the crown of their electrifying debut are the tracks SHADOWS, YOU KNOW and EVERYTHING.

Other nominees for ARTIST OF THE MONTH included YAiVA, DANiELLE BLOOM,  JOAN RED, TOOLS OF CREATION, LAURA ROPPE and THE BREAKTONE. The victory for MASS CHEMISTRY was a close. The victors secured 42% of the vote with Canadian rockers TOOLS OF CREATION snagging 41% of the vote. DANIELLE BLOOM and THE BREAK TONE followed with reasonable rankings..

ROCKWIRED.COM will be launching its latest ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign on MAY 2, 2011. Nominees for this latest wave include MY JERUSALEM, PASSION PROJECT, BOBAFLEX, REVIS, SEE GREEN, ZO2 and LOS FABULOCOS. Polling is provided by MICROPOLL and is as simple as making a selection and clicking 'vote'.

While there is no trophy or huge payday for being an ARTIST OF THE MONTH winner, the benefits that come along with the title include expanded coverage and promotion. An ARTIST OF MONTH winner is awarded a month's worth of free site-wide advertising on ROCKWIRED.COM. A 60-second commercial spot promoting the winner and their album will be featured during every edition of ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES for an entire month.  The winner is also featured in a special edition of ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES.  Banners are also given to the winners to further promote their ARTIST OF THE MONTH status on their own website or press packets. Lastly, winners are mentioned on all ROCKWIRED-related announcements/press materials.
