OPPERA

I was on the phone with BEL CHIASSO MANAGEMENT, trying to secure press credentials to see PAT BENATAR in concert (again!) and I opened the door for them to send me materials from any other artists that they may have on their roster.
Well, they were happy to oblige and now, ROCKWIRED is giving it up for the rock duo OPPERA, comprised of MARTIKA and MICHAEL MOZART. This is my first time ever hearing of MICHAEL MOZART but I've been a fan of MARTIKA's for years. Back in 1984, she stole my heart in the role of GLORIA in the T.V. show KIDS INCORPORATED. Even then, she had a great presence and adequate vocal chops and it all finds itself here on OPPERA's self titled sophmore release.
And MICHAEL MOZART is no slouch either. He lays down the hooks and musical landscape in the same way that DAVID STEWART of EURYTHMICS did. From what I understand, this duo puts on one hell of a show. We would love to see it.
