On New
Years Eve of 2004 ROCKWIRED founder BRIAN LUSH had just come home to
his apartment in Orange, California after working a temp job with a
bottle of Jack Daniels and the intention to go to a neighbors
New Years Eve party. At the time he was also doing a radio show for a
small station in Anaheim and was ready to do something different. That
New Years Eve night LUSH ended up not going to the party. He made jack
and cokes and started playing on the computer and that night
inspiration struck and he purchased the domain name ROCKWIRED.COM. He
also changed the name of his radio show to ROCKWIRED LIVE which ended
up running from January 2005 to May of 2009. Before long ROCKWIRED.COM
became an almost bigger hit than the radio show thanks to the exclusive
interviews with bands form throughout the country who were anxious to
get their music out there. Ten years down the line, ROCKWIRED.COM has
become the home of ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES as well as the home of the
monthly online magazine BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED. In the 33rd edition of
BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED the magazine will take a look back on the ten
years that made us what we are today with a special podcast
presentation but more importantly, we're interested in looking forward
with out coverage of such artists as GHOSTS OF EDEN, CRAWL, RXGF and
BLUE MOVIE and more. We will also be shining a light onthe nominees of
our 2015 ROCKWIRED READER'S POLL AWARDS with a 16-page spread.
"It has definitely been an evolution!" says ROCKWIRED founder BRIAN
LUSH. "ROCKWIRED.COM Started off as a Yahoo Starter Page and now we
produce online radio programming and a digital monthly magazine! I
remember a very early interview I did where an artist had quoted LOUIS
ARMSTRONG as saying "We are all apart of the song." and never before
have those words rung truer for me and for the name ROCKWIRED. It's fun
to look back but I'm more excited about what we've got cooking for the
website and magazine inthe coming year."

hot spot for not only reading up on the what's new in rock but for
listening to what's new and hearing the stories from the artists
themselves.
There is an
awful lot of talk these days about about
how disposable the current pop set is and music critics (there are so
many of them) who seem to be favoring the offerings of hip hop, country
and folk-type artists. Rock n roll is clearly not the music of the day
but ROCKWIRED.COM's founder BRIAN LUSH feels that this is the most
exciting time for rock n roll. "Rock music doesn't have a lot of major
label support but it's got the support of thousands of small,
independent labels throughout the country that seem to be popping up
everywhere. It's back to square one with rock music. It's just like the
fifties when rock music go it's start on smaller labels like SUN
RECORDS and CHESS RECORDS. With BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED, we are
celebrating
this spirit of independence because we feel that that is what makes
rock n roll great. There was a time when the major complaint was that
rock n roll had become too corporate and boring well guess what? Times
have changed and rock music is more independent than ever and the
independent spirit , creativity and industriousness that it takes to
keep the music going is something that we highlight in every issue of
BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED."
