raised in Memphis, Tennessee, SHELLEY FISHER was born with a slightly
tarnished silver fork in her mouth. Through her house wafted the sweet
honey suckled aromas of her Mama's down home cookin'. Much of her
life's work has been dedicated to recreating the authentic corn bread
of her youth. She has triumphed with her signature dish, Horny
Cornbread StudMuffins®.As with most young people, identity took a while in coming. When SHELLEY was barely twelve, her Daddy died. She skipped through adolescence and learned to sing and cook, soon becoming famous for her delectable Corned Beef and Cleavage. FISHER cooks inthe studio as well and her powerful Delta Blues voice that will make you want to spoon while you dance your way through the kitchen. that one?) and even ROLLING STONE. "Those were the days before the
internet and being a rock journalist
looked
like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these
magazines had me
imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever
answers to
some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising
you.
