(ORANGE, CA) Since January 15, 2005, the  thirty minute internet radio show ROCKWIRED LIVE  has been out on a mission to showcase some of the finest releases in independent music  in genres such as rock, blues, jazz, hip-hop, alt-country, alternative and electronica. "In starting a show like ROCKWIRED LIVE, I wanted to run counter  to the direction I saw the country going in at the time." says the shows host and producer BRIAN LUSH, who is quick to point out that ROCKWIRED debuted just days before the second inauguration of Former President GEORGE W. BUSH. "You had all of these radio stations being bought up by CLEAR CHANNEL , a war that was going to last even longer, and the music -  at least in my opinion - was more marginal than ever with very few exceptions. I wanted to shine a light on music that caught my ear and I wanted to let people in on it. That has always been the point of the show."

On March 28, 2009 at 5:00PM (PST) on KTSTFM.COM, ROCKWIRED LIVE will air it's final show with hosts BRIAN LUSH and SINE DOHERTY. While the news may come as short notice, plans to fold the show were made months ago. "It's time to do something else." says LUSH. "Sure the lagging economy has made doing the show a lot more difficult but it's more than that. I've been doing this show for over four years now and there are other avenues I would like to explore."

One of those avenues is a novel that Mr. LUSH has begun working on tentatively titled 'LELAND'S WAR'. "My major was in Creative Writing and I'd like to put the damned thing to good use with at least one book to my name." says LUSH.

Excerpts from LUSH's work in progress have been available on his FACEBOOK page. According to LUSH, more excerpts are on the way.

While ROCKWIRED LIVE is coming to an end, LUSH is quick to assure that ROCKWIRED.COM will continue to interview music artists and industry personalities. "The interviews on ROCKWIRED.COM are what sell us pretty much." confesses LUSH. "In the beginning, ROCKWIRED.COM was set up as a website to help promote the radio show, but when we started doing the interviews with the artists that we were showcasing, we found that we were getting a reputation for being an on-line magazine as opposed to a radio show. Every now and then, I'll look at the site myself and am blown away by the reportage that we've accumulated over the years. I'm not about to give that up."

Since ROCKWIRED.COM launched it's interview journal, THE ROCKWIRED ON-LINE EXCLUSIVE in October of 2005, ROCKWIRED has interviewed artists such as GRAMMY-winner DEE DEE BRIDGEWATER, OSCAR-nominee BIRD YORK, MARTIKA, THE BABY ANIMALS, THE WAILERS, SWEET, THE SCREAMING JETS, THE BAD PLUS, ALICE PEACOCK, ALYSSA GRAHAM, THE CHERRY POPPIN DADDIES, CHINA FORBES (of PINK MARTINI), DARLENE LOVE, CHRIS PIERCE, ZO2, FIXER, LUKAS ROSSI (ROCKSTAR : SUPERNOVA WINNER), CURTIS PEOPLES, TONY LUCCA, and SIMONE (Daughter of NINA SIMONE). "It's been a thrilling experience and I can't wait to do it some more." says LUSH "This is never going to stop."

As a matter of fact, LUSH is looking to expand the website. "I am just in the planning stages at the moment, but I would love to broaden the website from beyond music and possibly making it an arts and entertainment magazine with a real gritty journalistic feel. I may also be extending it to other writers and journalists as well. "

As far as future broadcasting plans are concerned, LUSH is toying with the idea of podcasting, but nothing is written in stone as of yet. "I think I'm just going to do what I advise listeners at the end of my show to do. I'm going to make it up as I go."
