ROCKWIRED MEDIA has launched a brand new digital magazine.  Since the launch of BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED (formerly ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE) ROCKWIRED MEDIA and it's founder BRIAN LUSH have taken special care to shine an ever-loving light on the  musical output by bands and recording artists from Indian Country. Since ROCKWIRED is an American Indian-owned web publishing company (and BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED is the first American Indian-owned rock magazine), it goes without saying that giving it up for aboriginal talent  is more than a mere cause du jour. It's all about passion and that passion has led to the creation of the acclaimed podcast series ABORIGINAL SOUNDS which has nurtured  and promoted talent from the likes of  Rosebud Sioux hip hop artist FRANK WALN to rockers such as GHOST TOWN ORCHESTRA and BLACK STONE.

Now ROCKWIRED MEDIA has released  ROCK IS RED - a brand new digital magazine celebrating American Indian and First Nations music makers and entrepreneurs. The magazine is  a stylish publication with some interactive features as well as some audio treats which have proven to be ROCKWIRED's stock and trade. The premiere issue launched on May 20, 2015 exclusively through ROCKWIRED.COM and features exclusive interviews with GHOST TOWN  ORCHESTRA, CODY BLACKBiRD, INNASTATE, DAVIDICA, SIHASIN, BLACK STONE, KICKIN KROTCH and more.

Accompanying the run of this  magazine is the podcast series also titled ROCK IS RED. The magazine is a quarterly release to run as a supplemental to BRIAN LUSH'S ROCKWIRED.

All submissions are to be emailed to djlush@rockwired.com and have "Rock is Red" referenced in the subject line. All submission are to contain the following:

• Three (3) mp3 or WAV files of completed songs

• A brief biography of the artist/band

• Links to any relevant websites or press

• Photos

MP3 or WAV files are the only files we accept. Please do not send WMA or M4A or FLAC files!

Because this program is designed to promote American Indian and First Nations artists, we ask that all submissions came form bands that are Native fronted or solo artists who are either American Indian or First Nations.

It is our preference to showcase artists with completed works that are available through such sites as CD BABY or AMAZON or ITUNES. If this is not the case for you , please give us an idea of when you intend to drop your release.

While we are pretty open minded to the kinds of musical submissions, ABORIGINAL SOUNDS wishes to only feature modern, contemporary music such as rock, metal, punk, hip-hop, rap, blues, jazz or country/americana (more americana). Spoken word poetry, traditional or pow wow music will not be accepted!
