AS ROCKWiRED.COM's ARTiST OF THE MONTH!!!  NOVEMBER
2, 2012 - The polls have closed for
ROCKWIRED.COM's
recent ARTIST OF
THE MONTH campaign. Voters from all over the U.S. made their vote count
and DAY'S DISTANCE is ROCKWIRED.COM's newest ARTIST OF THE
MONTH for their latest release 'ALIVE AND WASTING'. Fresh out
of the legendary “#1 hit recording capitol of the world”, Muscle
Shoals, Alabama, with the release of their full length album “Alive and
Wasting”, red hot rock act Day’s Distance is blazing a trail through
the southeast, as they are making headway certainly bound for the
national spotlight. This rock band is showing all the signs to be
destined for cross over success with their debut rock single “More Than
You Know” already impacting radio with heavy rotation, and ringing in
the #3 spot right behind Three Days Grace and Soundgarden on (WVNA
105.5 The Big Dog, Muscle Shoals, AL), and with songs like “The Truth”
claiming the #1 spot for “most fan requested song of the day” multiple
times, toppling competition such as “Katy Perry”, “Taylor Swift”, “Lil
Wayne”, and “Neon Trees” on 2 different Top 40 stations in Alabama and
Mississippi (WWFA-FM 102.7 KISS FM, Florence, AL) and (WYDL-FM Wild
100.7, Corinth, MS). After forming in April of 2009, they landed a deal
with Relit Records in the summer of 2012. Day’s Distance independently
harnessed some outstanding notoriety as well from claiming the coveted
#1 spot as the best rock artist over world wide competition on MTV
partnered Ourstage.com which plays host to over 170,000 artists from
across the globe that compete monthly. Day’s Distance also spent over
60 weeks and counting in the top 100 with over half being in the top 20
along with seven top 10 and fifteen top 40 monthly channel placements.
Along with accolades from Grammy winning songwriter and producer Gary
Baker (I Swear, I’m Already There) and numerous independent sites such
as Mike Cameo’s Indie Top 10 and rocksposure.com to name a few. Other nominees for ARTIST OF THE MONTH included ROXiE RANDLE, THROWiNG GRAViTY, COLDSPELL, JACOB KLEiN, MOUTHFUL OF DAiSY and BLAG'ARD ROCKWIRED.COM will be launching its latest ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign on NOVEMBER 1, 2012. Nominees for this latest wave include NEVERWONDER, NICO RIVERS, LE REVERIE, MILES JONES, ROSEMARY'S GARDEN, THESE CURIOUS THOUGHTS and EREZ AND THE END. Polling is provided by MICROPOLL and is as simple as making a selection and clicking 'vote'. While there is no trophy or huge payday for being an ARTIST OF THE MONTH winner, the benefits that come along with the title include expanded coverage and promotion. An ARTIST OF MONTH winner is awarded a month's worth of free site-wide advertising on ROCKWIRED.COM. A 60-second commercial spot promoting the winner and their album will be featured on ROCKWIRED.COM's entire programming for an entire month. The winner is also featured in a special edition of ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES. Banners are also given to the winners to further promote their ARTIST OF THE MONTH status on their own website or press packets.
