October 4, 2016 - The polls have closed for ROCKWIRED.COM's recent ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign. Voters from all over the North America and the world made their vote count and DEE ERIN BAND is ROCKWIRED.COM's 71rst ARTIST OF THE MONTH. Back in May, ROCKWIRED was invited to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the first ever INDIGENOUS MUSIC CONFERENCE which was a part of the MANITO AHBEE FESTIVAL. It was at this conference that we had to opportunity to meet the Opaskwayak Cree rock band DEE ERIN BAND who were both attendees of the conference as well as performers for the CELEBRATE NATIVE MUSIC CONCERT. We'd be remiss if we didn't add that this was the band that kicked off the proceedings with their straight ahead, driving rock n roll approach to music which is all perfectly captured on their latest album BROKEN ROAD. Other nominees for ARTIST OF THE MONTH included SONIC SYNDICATE, CROOKED EYE TOMMY, THE ORMEWOODS and TODD APFEL. ROCKWIRED.COM will be launching its latest ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign on October 5, 2016. The nominees include RICK SHAFFER, SOLES OF PASSION, DALI VAN GOGH, CRAWL, PEACH AND THE ALMOST BLUES BAND, UNCURED and ANGUS CROWNE AND THE FAMILY JEWELS. DEATHPOiNT

A 60-second commercial spot promoting the winner and their album will be featured on ROCKWIRED.COM's entire programming for an entire month. The winner is also featured in a special edition of ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES. Banners are also given to the winners to further promote their ARTIST OF THE MONTH status on their own website or press packets.
