FEBRUARY 17, 2012 - Winners of the Nova Scotia leg of the 2011 ROGERS BATTLE OF THE BANDS presented by SUPERNOVA.COM, placing 3rd in the National Finals, and set at the top of the REVERBNATION ROCK CHARTS for Halifax Nova Scotia for 28 weeks straight, DALI VAN GOGH have been on the path to success since before even entering the regular gig circuit. The band had it's beginnings in 2008, when long time musical partners ISSAC KENT (guitar) and bassist MEGAN MACKENZIE (bass) met up with the young talented drummer, Nason Scribner. The group then began work finding the right voice to front the band. After spending more then a year and a half with various singers, and playing the odd gig, ISAAC came across a YouTube video of an unknown singer covering the now classic CHICKENFOOT hit OH YEAH. Being super impressed with the vocalist, he decided to look him up, and wouldn't you know it the guy was in his city. One hell of an audition later, Marcel McNeil had joined DALI VAN GOGH, and the four piece immediately set about writing their first album. While still in studio in the summer of 2010, working on their debut release, Verbal Warning, Dali Van Gogh was contacted by 272 RECORDS out of Hollywood California to be part of the Label's compilation album KILL CITY Vol. 27. Submitting their song THE DEMON to be part of a global release featuring bands from across Europe and North America. Recently there have been a few changes in DALI VAN GOGH, the most exciting of which are the additions of their new drummer SEAN SAWLER, and Bassist SCOTT TURNBULL to the lineup. Both have already proven to be a great additions to the band and have seamlessly melded into DALI VAN GOGH's already well developed sound.

"Those were the days before the internet and being a rock journalist looked like the coolest job imaginable." says LUSH "But reading these magazines had me imagining that one day I'd be the artist giving all of the clever answers to some poor guy with a tape recorder. Well, life has a way of surprising you. Now, I'm the poor guy with the tape recorder and asking all of the questions."
