We learn something new every time we do one of these interviews. Thanks to singer-songwriter SHELITA BURKE we have learned a thing or two about Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) - a perceptual phenomenon marked by a pleasurable, tingling "brain tickle" effect.  It's a phenomenon  that BURKE herself refers to as a "brain orgasm" - that moment that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. We were beginning to wonder what was up with this new EP of hers. TRANSFIXED is a six song EP featuring BURKE's plucky acoustic guitar sound and that siren-like voice that artfully bends the notes of her sparse yet elegant lyrics. This debut EP is an exciting new chapter for an artist who has made music her living and has toured the world four times over armed only with a playful sense of song craft, a yearning to connect with listeners and an all too unique vision which will serve this young talent well for year to come.
