FEBRUARY 2, 2014 - The polls have closed for ROCKWIRED.COM's recent ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign. Voters from all over the U.S. made their vote count and HUMBUCKER is ROCKWIRED.COM's newest ARTIST OF THE MONTH.  Despite the fact that this Arctic Vortex is bringing a good portion of the U.S. to a freeze,  one of the hottest sounding bands is coming to us from one of the coldest places on Earth - Norway.  The band HUMBUCKER - I'm assuming that they are named after the guitar pick ups - began as a cover band playing mostly  AC/DC tunes back in 1998,. In 2001 they went  into the studio to cut their five song demo recording and hit the music scene with a vengeance but despite their loyal following, the band folded due to  all of those grown up commitments like a job got in the way. Growing up and being responsible always seems to be the nail in the coffin for any rocker. In 2010, HUMBUCKER got back together for a one-time-only performance and something strange happened. The guys realized that they never should've parted and a few months later they recorded their proper debut album R.O.C.K.S.  Now, the band has put their finishing touches on their follow album KING OF THE WORLD which is due for release on February 15, 2014.

ROCKWIRED.COM will be launching its latest ARTIST OF THE MONTH campaign on DECEMBER 2, 2013. Nominees for this latest wave include POLARITY, ELISIUM, KRIS N, XANDER DEMOS, LOVEBETTIE, TERRANCE.JAYE and DESERT DRAGON. Polling is provided by MICROPOLL and is as simple as making a selection and clicking 'vote'.
























While there is no trophy or huge payday for being an ARTIST OF THE MONTH winner, the benefits that come along with the title include expanded coverage and promotion. An ARTIST OF MONTH winner is awarded a month's worth of free site-wide advertising on ROCKWIRED.COM. A 60-second commercial spot promoting the winner and their album will be featured on ROCKWIRED.COM's entire programming for an entire month.  The winner is also featured in a special edition of ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES.  Banners are also given to the winners to further promote their ARTIST OF THE MONTH status on their own website or press packets. Lastly, winners are mentioned on all ROCKWIRED-related announcements/press materials.
